Any acreages looking for great dog? Walker(Wolverine) was raised as an outdoor dog for 7-years in California. Now that he is in Canada, he is missing his outdoor freedom but really craves his indoor people time.
His ideal home is one that has a fenced in dog run where Wolverine can live during the day or when his people are at work, and where he can be indoors with his people when they're home or weather is too horrible.
He has a high prey drive and is male dog selective. He is okay around older kids but because he is learning boundaries and how to play, he is not ideal around younger kids.
My name is Walker; it used to be ‘Wolverine’, but my foster family changed it. You see, I love going for walks and don’t have a wolverine bone in my body! My foster ‘Mom’ is always saying that ‘I am love’ because the only things I like more than walks are: cuddles, being pet, brushed and belly rubs and even though I’m over 7 years old I am still very much a puppy.
I am so happy to be ready for a forever home! I’ve worked really hard with my foster family and I now know: sit, stay, down, and off commands and I’m house trained too! I also understand that furniture is for humans and that the blanket or mat on the floor is for me … but if you want me to snuggle with you on the sofa, I’m open to the invitation.
My ideal forever home would have a stay at home human; even though I am kennel trained, I really don’t like to be left alone. It would also be pet free except for me, and my humans should be strong, confident and kind.
I’m also great with kids (my foster family has a 5 and 8 year old), and I prefer them to be older so they can play, rough house, run and do lots of outdoor things with me.
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to go on long walks on my leash with my human family and would rather not have to deal with the frenzy of the dog park.
I am eager to please, I learn fast, and I’ll show you tons of love.
Let’s walk together.
