Post a Pet for Adoption

KAAP.ca is a free public web site for pet adoptions and lost-and-found pets. We currently serve the area in and around Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. If you wish to post an ad, please submit the form on the post a pet page. Be sure to include a complete description of the animal - name, age, breed, personality, does it get along with other dogs/cats/children, special needs, reason for advertising, where the animal is currently, and your phone and email information. (Please note: we do not allow post ads for animals for sale.). Once you submit the form a moderator will review the posting and publish it live to the site.

Barn Cat Program

KAAP is looking for local cat lovers/property owners who need a cat patrol for their nice warm barns. KAAP has some kittens and cats available for adoption who are not happy living in homes, and would make wonderful barn cats. Read more about the Barn Cat Program.

Spay Neuter Clinics

If you have a cat or dog that needs to be spayed or neutered, and you are unable to afford the normal fee and can prove this, please call Daryl at 250-551-1053 to discuss ways in which KAAP may be able to help you.

Pet Adoption Clinics

KAAP is not holding Saturday or Sunday adoption clinics right now. You may contact Daryl at 250-551-1053 or email darylt@shaw.ca for more information on any KAAP pet or to set up a meeting in the foster home.

KAAP Pet Sitting Comes to Nelson

KAAP's new Home Pet Sitting Service is coming to Nelson area only.... we are taking bookings now and into the winter holiday season.

Staffed by KAAP's volunteers, we will visit your home daily (once or twice), and care for your cat(s). We will feed, clean litter, socialize, and whatever your friend needs. Regular rates are $15 per visit.

We are all pet owners, living in your neighbourhood, and wanting to make sure that everyone's pets are well cared for this coming holiday season. We also want to earn some money for KAAP, to help care for those pets that are homeless or in need of other assistance.

Please call us at 250-352-2008 for more information, and to let us know what else is needed in pet home care.
