name: kiva
breed: Shiba / husky / mini aussie
training: good recall (with owner) – crate trained – basic commands. Went to boarding school between 5-6 months to improve reactivity.
info: amazing with dogs. Not happy with too many new people coming and going. Attaches to a couple humans and not willing to bond to others. Seems good with kids but not entirely sure as she has not been around many.
would not recommend a cat she likes to chase things.
great guard dog. Enjoys being outside mostly but can relax inside too. Very affectionate once she trusts you. When she was a little puppy she did nip a couple of people but she’s grown out of it now. Something to be aware of anyway because I’m not sure how she’d be adjusting to a new place or new people.
for boarding there is a place that she can go she does well at in the area.
Kiva is a special case she takes a very patient owner who is willing to take their time getting her to trust them. She would do best with a fenced yard or large property. She would thrive in a home with another friendly dog as she loves dogs and feels safest around them.
Looking to find the right home for this dog. She is a rescue and very timid/ fearful of new humans. She loves the people close to her and is friendly from a distance but does not like to be touched or grabbed at by strangers.
I just had a baby and my husband works out of town so unfortunately I am finding it isn’t possible to give her enough attention. She seems to be very unhappy since the baby came and is acting out so I don’t feel it’s fair to keep her.
I have more visitors over now and Kiva is becoming very stressed out from the new people.
She’s very overprotective and we worry she will guard the baby too much.
If you have experience with timid rescues and you think you could give her the attention and training she would need to adjust to your home send me a text or email with a little about you.
thanks
