Why become a member of the KAAP Rescue Team?

KAAP has done some amazing things over the past few years for our communities’ cats and dogs, and their owners.

We want to be able to continue to help animals that can’t get help elsewhere. But we can’t do it alone! We need your help, and by joining the KAAP Rescue Team, you will be pledging your support to needy cats and dogs in our community.

How Your Membership Helps

The volunteers of KAAP have taken in over 1000 cats and dogs since the fall of 2007. The majority of these pets were homeless; KAAP offered temporary foster home care to them while they were waiting to find their new families.

These animals were also given medical care as required; many needed to be spayed or neutered, and needed other attention such as vaccinations or de-worming. Your membership will help us continue these services into the future by providing a consistent, reliable source of income.

Benefits include a Rescue Team Badge for your Facebook profile picture, updates on animals in KAAP care through a special ‘members-only’ Facebook group, and the comfort of knowing that you are helping animals in need get a second chance at a new life. Our furry friends thank you!

Here’s the details:

It works this way: The donations are registered on our donate page or our canadahelps.org charity page . All you do is select “monthly donations”, enter the amount ($5 or more!), and you will be asked for credit card information or to go through the PayPal link. A tax receipt will be issued at year end, via email, from CanadaHelps.

Once we have received notification of your donation, you will receive an email inviting you to join our KAAP Team Group. (Please note that if you choose to delay the start of your donation, we will not be notified until the first payment is made.) In this Group, you will be able to download our exclusive team badge and display it on your own page or profile picture as you decide. The Group page should be an interesting eye-opener to the day-to-day dialogue and goings-on of animal rescue work. It will show you how our money is spent. It will evolve as we do. We think this is an exciting adventure, with potentially amazing results that we all can be proud of.

The gift for someone who has everything, and loves animals! Or a monthly donation to help KAAP with one of our long-term foster pets (Indicate who you would like to sponsor in the comments section of your donation page). Just log into our canadahelps.org charity page, sign up for monthly donations of $5 (or more!), OR, sign up for a ONE-TIME DONATION of $60, which will prepay membership for a year. Include your email address so that you receive the tax receipt, and in the special information section, please let us know who the gift is for. We will contact you by email to get further information: the gift recipient’s mailing address for a personalized holiday card and certificate, and the gift recipient’s email address so that we can forward information about joining the KAAP Rescue Team Facebook Group and rescue badge.
