6 year old male lab mix for rehoming

We are looking for a wonderful new home for our loving dog, Milo. He is a 6-year-old neutered black lab mix. He is extremely sweet and affectionate and wants to be everyone’s best friend. Unfortunately, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome him as he is not doing well with a new baby in the house.

Milo loves hiking, fetch, couch snuggles, and making friends with all humans he meets. He is very responsive to commands and has good recall. He does well both on and off leash. He’s had all of his vaccines and is microchipped. He does well with other dogs, but he does chase cats. He can be food and toy possessive, so he would be best in a house with older children.

Milo does have a couple of health issues that are being managed. He has a limp in his front left paw that he’s had since we adopted him from a rescue at 6 months. He also has hypothyroidism, for which he takes medication. He also occasionally has seizures a few times a year. However, none of these have slowed Milo down or really impact his functioning.

Milo would be a great addition to a family who wants a loyal and loving companion. He would do best in a home that is active or that has running around space.
