**Applications are required prior to meeting our adoptable pets as they are in private family homes being cared for and it assists us in ensuring a good match**

Angelee is a 14 year old kitty who came to KAAP when her owner was no longer able to care for her.   She is a sweet, loving girl that has only ever lived with a quiet, older person and as a solo cat so we are looking for a similar type of home for her going forward.  No dogs and no other cats for her please.

Angelee is also a very unique girl – she has a form of dwarfism known as chondrodystrophy.  What this means is that her legs are very short, and this makes her “waddle” when she walks.   She hasn’t had any known previous health issues, but at her recent vet visit, it was noted that she may benefit from a medication called Cosequin to keep any arthritis at bay that she may develop due to her “sway” back and her age.  She isn’t very tolerant of being brushed, so her new person would need to be able to assess that and if necessary get her professionally groomed.

She will sit beside you on the couch and watch TV, sleep beside you on the bed but won’t necessarily sit on your lap. She doesn’t like being picked up much. She likes to be pet sparingly on the head, chin, neck and back. She purrs. She lives to hang out in the kitchen and watch foster mom cook. She lays on rugs close to where you’re working. She’s affectionate, just not super cuddly. She loves affection but on her terms. She craves one on one human attention. She’s quite playful at times and enjoys catnip toys and she seems to like to watch TV.

This girl is so deserving of a comfy couch to retire on, and a nice bed in a bright window to watch the world.   She has been an indoor only cat her entire life and needs to remain indoors for her safety and peace of mind.
